Story Time: 5 Stories Recorded Live in Austin, TX
Story Time is a social storytelling experiment focused on connecting people through stories.
It's based on the idea that all of us share common human experiences and so when we listen to people's stories about their life, we relate and empathize with what they experienced because most likely each of us also went through something similar.
Not the exact same, but not very different.
Each Story Time has two themes.
Each theme is introduced by two speakers who share a quick 4-5 minute story.
Then everyone splits up into small groups to share their own stories on the theme.
The Small Group Shares portion is only 23 minutes so it forces participants to share quick, focused stories.
One of the rules is "No long ass boring stories."
Unlike most storytelling events where attendees sit passively in audience, at Story Time everyone shares a story.
Because every story matters and everyone should share their stories.
Stories have the power to connect humans and make the world a better place.
